Bevis and Butthead Do Christmas

Ahh, Beavis and Butthead. After years of "intelligently stupid" humor, as found on The Simpsons, South Park, and Mike Judge's own King of the Hill, Beavis and Butthead don't quite have the same charm they once did. Still, there's something funny about the show, in a juvenile way. Beavis and Butthead were produced by MTV, so of course they cashed in on Christmas. It's just a shame the B & B train ran out of steam before they got around to milking other winter holidays. I'd love to see B & B tackle Kwanzaa, or a very special Beavis & Butthead Solstice.

Regardless, The Beavis and Butthead Christmas Special was a riff on two classic holiday tales, with the boys answering fan letters dressed up as Santa and a Reindeer before and after each short. The two shorts are Beavis and Butthead versions of "It's a Wonderful Life" with an angel trying to stop Butthead from jumping off a bridge, and "A Christmas Carol", in which Beavis is Scrooge, Butthead is Jacob Marley, and Mr. Anderson is Bob Cratchet. There are some funny, extremely stupid jokes here (Beavis watching a Christmas porno starring "Bob Scratchet", Beavis's guess as to why Mr. Anderson doesn't have any children in the future; "They ate their children!"). They're funny, that is, if you can turn your brain off and enjoy it for the idiocy it is.

What I would like to see is B&B watching (and doing their traditional mockery of) some of the truly horrific Christmas-related videos, like Bing Crosby and David Bowie's sign-that-the-End-Times-are-near "Little Drummer Boy" duet.

Any of their videos would be classic, and a Christmas version would be even better.
