This is so freaking cool that I decided I had to make a new post for it. Right now, on this very 'net, Yahoo! Movies is exclusively showing off the trailer for Underworld: Evolution (AKA Underworld 2)!Underworld: Evolution's plot, based on the glimpses we get in the trailer, appears to be about the newly resurrected Marcus. Marcus, you will remember from the first film, is one of the vampire coven's three highly revered masters. He is also the only true vampire in existence. Apparently, he's attempting to replicate his bloodline by overruning the world with this master race of vampires. Again, Beckinsale returns to fight this new threat with her own brand of age-old-evil-resurrected. Fight fire with fire, works every time (right?).
I didn't get too much out of the first movie on my first viewing, but on follow up viewings, I've grown a great fondness for the film. The movie is about as dry on humor as Dune is on water and it looks as if the studio responded to people's reactions to the film by peppering Evolution with dry humor. Hey, I'll take what I can get.
