This raises some interesting questions. I mean, these things theoretically live thousands of years. Thus, the onset of rust could be quite detrimental to your average Autobot's usable lifespan. Questions abound. Questions like:
- When not defending the safety of the universe, do Autobots sit there and apply rust protectant?
- They're always so shiny! Do they have to work to keep the shine or do they take a dip in a huge vat of distilled, deionized water to get clean?
- What about lubrication?
- If they do indeed generate their own lubricant, does that mean they sit there and pee on each other (or themselves) to accomplish it? Or does it leak out of their tiny, robot pores?
- How do they generate it?
- Is it truly a byproduct of operation? Or is it genuinely used for lubrication?
- Could this lubricant be used in Earth vehicles?
